Where every child has a voice
The Tucker-Maxon Oral School began in 1947 as a school where children with hearing loss learned to talk. Today we educate children with typical hearing and children with hearing loss together in small, collaborative classes. Our students who are deaf do not use sign language. Instead, with the help of digital hearing aids, cochlear implants, early diagnosis, and early intervention, our students who are deaf learn to speak and listen very well. The school operates three primary programs including the school for deaf and hearing children, a graduate program preparing teachers of deaf children, and the Technology Center for Oral Education.

If you have a charity in mind you want to contribute to, you can donate with us. While there are numerous benefits to charities that receive donations from individuals, the advantages to the you, the donor may not be too clear. The largest benefit which most people hear about is the chance for a tax benefit. This usually means that the resale value of the given vehicle can be written off in your tax return. There are some limitations on this type of deduction, which means you could choose to speak with a tax professional before making the donation. Another advantage of donating a secondhand car to charity is your chance to simply get rid of the automobile without needing to attempt to repair or promote it. Most charitable car donation programs will except vehicles if they're operating or in need of repair. Car donation programs have become popular in Oregon over the past decade or so, as more charities are looking for new and creative ways to create funds. Nowadays, the number of charitable automobile donation programs numbers in the hundreds or perhaps thousands. If you've got a favorite West Linn charity you want to make contributions to, it's most likely possible for that charity to receive at least a portion of the funds if you donate your old vehicle. Besides the charitable tax deduction and not with the hassle of handling an older car, the sensation of being able to assist those in need may be the best reason to donate your car to a charity. Most used automobile donation programs will sell the vehicle to increase funds for your reason, utilize the car in the daily operations of the company, or provide the vehicle to a somebody in need either at no cost, or even for under the average market value. Charitable car donation programs allow you to donate your used auto to the charity of your own choice. Visit our charities page to decide on a charity in Oregon to donate to. When you decide to create a donation of a used vehicle, when the charity sells the car, like your Kia Soul EV, to get over $500 they are required to mail you a receipt which lets you subtract the sales price of the automobile, such as your Chrysler Pacifica, in your tax return. If the older car you chose to donate is not worth at least $500, then the IRS allows you to ascertain the reasonable market value. This is the value that someone would be inclined to spend money on the automobile if purchasing it from you. So as to receive the tax deduction, you will have to itemize your deductions on your tax return. You claim the tax deduction, along with the charity either gets to use the automobile, like your Ford LTD, sells it and uses the proceeds for the good of the charity. That is a wonderful thing for everyone involved.
