Providing teams to teach English as a foreign language
Founded in 1981, English Language Institute/China (ELIC) is an educational organization that exists to place passionate people in contact with students across Asia through the medium of teaching English. We accomplish this through recruiting, training and sending men and women from the U.S. and Canada to meet the ever-growing demand for quality English education in Asia. While ELIC is focused primarily on university campuses, we believe that we also have a stake in what happens beyond the campus. We currently have 534 teachers and family members in Asia, and have sent 10,000 throughout the history of our organization.

Bringing the power of education to single parent families.
At Project Self-Sufficiency, we believe that single-parents should have the opportunity to create a vibrant future for themselves and their children. Every day, we partner with moms and dads living in poverty to accomplish their goals of obtaining a degree and a well-paying job, because when families are able to support themselves, our community is stronger. Since 1986, Project Self-Sufficiency has been creating pathways for low-income, single parent families in Larimer County who are struggling to make ends meet and break the cycle poverty. From educational development and career planning to adequate child care access and housing, the program is a comprehensive resource providing everything a single parent needs to become self-sufficient: career planning, education and training, remove barriers, promote family health, encourage self advocacy, and prevent poverty. Current program capacity is 137 families.
