Reducing Native American childhood obesity and type-2 diabetes
The Notah Begay III Foundation, since its launch in 2005, is the only national Native American nonprofit organization solely dedicated to reversing Native American childhood obesity and type-2 diabetes. NB3F is setting a national standard for investing in evidence-based, community-driven and culturally relevant programs that prevent childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes, ensuring healthy futures for Native American children and their communities. We are also actively involved in building and supporting regional and national networks engaged in research and policy development. NB3F is funded by foundations, tribes, and individuals. We achieve change through our network of partnering organizations and individuals across Indian Country dedicated to improving Native child wellbeing.

Faith Comes By Hearing began in 1972 as an audio cassette ministry. Over four decades later, it has become a recognized world leader in Audio Bible recordings and engagement. The mission has stayed the same - getting God's Word to everyone everywhere in their heart language. How this gets accomplished continuously progresses as technology changes and people engage with the Gospel in new and exciting ways. Faith Comes By Hearing currently offers Scripture recordings in more than 1,000 languages spoken by over 6 billion people. Nearly 900,000 Audio Bible listening programs have been implemented, potentially reaching 81 million people with the Word of God. More than 750,000 Military BibleSticks have been shipped to military personnel, and millions of people around the world are engaging with the Word of God via the Digital Bible Platform.

Special Olympics New Mexico provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in Special Olympics develop improved physical fitness and motor skills, greater self-confidence and a more positive self-image. They grow physically, mentally, and socially, and through their activities, exhibit boundless courage and enthusiasm, enjoy the rewards of friendship and ultimately discover not only new abilities and talents but "their voices" as well.
Ending hunger in New Mexico
Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico has been serving New Mexico's hungry since 1980 and is the leader in creating solutions to end hunger in New Mexico. Roadrunner solicits, collects, and transports more than 30 million pounds of food yearly. Food comes from a variety of sources including national and local manufacturers, supermarkets, large food distributors, growers, food brokers and food drives. Roadrunner Food Bank distributes the food through a statewide network of 440 food pantries, group homes, low-income day care centers, shelters, soup kitchens, its own direct service programs, and regional food banks. In turn, these organizations provide emergency food to 70,000 low-income people each week.
