Working together to end world hunger
Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. The organization is driven by a vision of a world without hunger and a mission to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-saving aid to the world's most vulnerable and by creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources. Rise Against Hunger's meal packaging program provides volunteers the opportunity to package dehydrated, high protein, and highly nutritious meals that are used in crisis situations and in school feeding programs for schools and orphanages in developing countries around the world. In its efforts to respond to emergency needs around the world Stop Hunger Now receives and distributes significant donations of in-kind aid. These donations are large quantities of food, medicines, medical supplies and other such items as may be of use in fighting hunger and providing relief in a crisis.
Promoting the growth and progress of the North Carolina Museum of Art
The North Carolina Museum of Art Foundation works to foster and promote the growth, progress and general welfare of the North Carolina Museum of Art, which houses the art collections of the State of North Carolina. Currently closed for renovations, the Museum's new 127,000-square-foot building will open in April 2010, creating a beautiful home for the permanent collection with dramatically expanded exhibition space highlighted by day-lit galleries. Encompassing 164 acres of fields, woodlands, and creeks, the Museum Park presents a unique setting to explore the intersection between art and nature.

Founded in 1937, Triangle Family Services is a human services nonprofit organization meeting the needs of families in crisis through mental health, family safety, and financial stability programs. Our mission is building a stronger community by strengthening the family. Triangle Family Services is recognized as a United Way of the Greater Triangle "Agency of Excellence", accredited by the Council on Accreditation, a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency . The agency annually provides services to almost 3,000 individuals and families living throughout Wake County and the Triangle area.
Financing scholarships to needy and worthy students
The mission of the NCSU Student Aid Association (Wolfpack Club) is to provide private financial support for athletic scholarships and facilities for NC State University. Additionally, the Student Aid Association provides communication and services for all friends of Wolfpack athletics. All of the activities of the Association are done with the highest integrity for academic and athletic excellence and within the guidelines established by the University, the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Opened in 1967, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County offers young people a range of fun and educational activities. Our seven Clubs are open each day after school from 2:30 to 8:00 p.m. The Boys & Girls Clubs provides a positive and safe environment where young people can connect with trained and caring staff and reach their goals. The Boys & Girls Clubs mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Clubs provides: a safe place to learn and grow; ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals; life-enhancing programs and character development experiences; and hope and opportunity.
No one goes hungry in central & eastern North Carolina
Established in 1980, the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for more than 30 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 nonprofit, community-based emergency agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters, in addition to programs for children and adults, through six warehouses located in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington. In 2015-2016, the Food Bank provided 64.4 million pounds of food and non-food essentials through these partner agencies and programs, which is equivalent to 54,196,963 meals. An additional 1.72 million pounds were shared among sister Feeding America Food Bank members.

Curamericas Global partners with underserved communities to make measurable and sustainable improvements in their health and well-being. Formerly known as Andean Rural Health Care, Curamericas Global was created in 1983 with the goal of establishing primary health care programs that are responsive to the health needs of the community, improving child survival within the community, and building the national and local capacity of health service providers. Curamericas Global works in Guatemala and Liberia and plans to start a project in Sierra Leone in 2015. All Curamericas Global's programs focus on teaching prevention and also help to establish health clinics in areas of desperate need.

Founded in 1984 as Raleigh Dance Theatre, Carolina Ballet's mission is to perform world-class professional ballet, entertaining and enlightening audiences in Raleigh, the Triangle region, the State of North Carolina, and beyond. Launched as a professional dance company in 1997 under the direction of Artistic Director/CEO Robert Weiss, Carolina Ballet has since garnered critical praise from the national and international media, staged 75 world premiere ballets, and toured internationally in China and Hungary. Weiss, former artistic director of the Pennsylvania Ballet and principal dancer at New York City Ballet under the legendary George Balanchine, programs traditional ballets by legendary masters and new works by contemporary choreographers.

Inspiring appreciation and conservation of North Carolina's aquatic environments
The North Carolina Aquarium Society is the support organization for the three North Carolina Aquariums. Established in 1986, it is dedicated to assisting these facilities in maintaining their high standards of exhibits, education and conservation programs. The North Carolina Aquariums continue to expand and improve. In 1976, the Aquariums had a little more than two hundred thousand visitors. Today, the three Aquariums educate over one million annual visitors. The Aquariums have completed expansion of all three facilities, Pine Knoll Shores, Roanoke Island and Fort Fisher, doubling the size of each. In 2011, the Aquariums opened their newest site, the restored Jennette's Pier at Nags Head.

Providing affordable healthcare to working, uninsured adults in Wake County
Founded in 2000, Alliance is a faith-led medical ministry serving working uninsured adults in Wake County in need of affordable, quality healthcare. There is a compelling need to care for uninsured patients in a way that minimizes the inappropriate use of emergency room services, while maximizing the quality, continuity, and availability of the medical care they receive. Alliance is a medical home to nearly 7,000 adults who fall within the healthcare "gap", and we are accepting new patients. WakeMed refers new patients each month to AMM for follow-up services after an ED visit or hospitalization, and AMM receives other referrals monthly from the community (including Rex Hospital, Duke Health Raleigh Hospital, Wake County Human Services).
Hope for the poor and homeless
Raleigh Rescue Mission was founded in 1961 to minister to the growing needs of homeless and hurting men, women and children in our community. The Mission offers both a long-term recovery program and emergency shelter. Raleigh Rescue Mission provides safe housing, clothing and three healthy meals a day, as well as recovery, Christian counseling and other support services to help them achieve their goals and ultimately make a successful transition back into the community. The Mission provides free medical care services to residents through our on-site Medical and Pediatric Clinic and preschool age children receive teaching and loving care in our Children's Development Center. Residents receive job and computer skills training, as well as life skills and educational classes, such as GED, in our Adult Learning Center.

The North Carolina Agricultural Foundation (NCAF) was founded in 1944 as a means of supporting agricultural research, extension, and teaching activities in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State University. NCAF works to aid and promote, by financial assistance and otherwise, all types of education and research in agriculture at or through NC State University.

InterAct provides safety, support, and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault. InterAct also promotes violence-free relationships and communities through collaboration, public information, education, and advocacy. InterAct is the only confidential domestic violence prevention program serving Wake County's twelve municipalities.

Providing financial support for education and research in the field of veterinary medicine
Created in 1978 to attract funding for the College's teaching, learning, research and extension in the field of veterinary medicine, the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Foundation operates exclusively for educational and scientific purposes. By providing financial assistance that helps promote educational activities and maintain a prominent faculty, the Foundation encourages diverse research and facilitates cooperative activities with other disciplines and institutions. The Foundation is ever mindful of maximizing giving power through special programs that bring together donors of similar interests. The Foundation has been critical in securing financial assistance for the College that allows for faculty support and development, research funds, student scholarships and program enhancement.
Dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect
Founded in 1979, Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina (PCA NC) is the only statewide nonprofit in North Carolina dedicated to the prevention of child maltreatment. Its mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by supporting the development of safe, stable, nurturing relationships for children in their families and communities. Through family-strengthening programs, public and professional education, leadership, and advocacy, we work to give every child a healthy, nurturing childhood and the opportunity to grow up to be a caring, contributing adult. PCA NC is using the latest research to help communities prevent abuse before it occurs. We are leading the state, along with our partners, in implementing evidence-based prevention programs - programs that are scientifically proven to prevent child maltreatment and strengthen families. Services are provided to all communities in North Carolina.

The NCCF is the single statewide community foundation serving North Carolina and has made $101 million in grants since its inception in 1988. With more than $237 million in assets, NCCF sustains 1,200 endowments established to provide long-term support of a broad range of community needs, nonprofit organizations, institutions and scholarships. The NCCF partners with 60 affiliate foundations to provide local resource allocation and community assistance in 67 counties across the state.
